    In addition to its spectacular animal shows, interactive attractions, aquariums, rides and education programs for all ages, this summer the SeaWorld experience promises to be even more exciting than ever before with the opening of three brand new attractions. Ocean Explorer™, a 3-acre realm with aquariums, exciting rides and digital technologies, engages park guests in an experience centered on exploration and adventure. Become an adventurer on a global expedition of scientific exploration on the attraction’s signature ride Submarine Quest, a 3-minute experience including an onboard digital navigation dashboard. Specially-designed aquariums and interactive displays showcase unique and elusive ocean animals like giant Pacific octopuses, dozens of moray eels and Japanese spider crabs. In addition to Submarine Quest, there are four additional family-friendly rides: Tentacle Twirl, a wave swing ride; Aqua Scout, a jump-around ride; OctaRock, a happy swing ride; and Sea Dragon Drop, a family free-fall tower.

  • SeaWorld's Ocean Explorer Now Open

    The launch of Ocean Explorer™ will create an expedition of wonder across the seven seas as this extraordinary new attraction combines multiple aquariums, exciting rides and digital technologies. On the attraction’s signature ride, Submarine Quest, guests will be adventurers on a global expedition of scientific exploration, travelling aboard submarines to see Ocean Explorer’s remarkable undersea animals. The heart and destination of Ocean Explorer will be a series of undersea research bases housing specially-designed aquariums and interactive displays that showcase unique and elusive ocean animals like giant octopuses and dozens of moray eels, as well as Japanese spider crabs and spiny king crabs. The Ocean Explorer realm will feature five new family-friendly rides in total, including an exhilarating wave swing ride where guests will fly through thousands of real bubbles in chairs suspended from the tentacles of a giant jelly.

    Also debuting this summer is the inspiring Orca Encounter™. Based on killer whale behavior in the wild—how they move, hunt and navigate, what they eat, and even how they communicate—this new encounter will be a live documentary-style presentation helping park guests gain a deeper appreciation and respect for the orcas, and empowering them to preserve the future of these majestic animals. Each presentation or encounter will underscore the vital connection we all share as protectors of the planet and how we each play a key role in the future health and vitality of the wildlife and wild places.

    As the sun sets each day this summer, Electric Ocean™ will light up SeaWorld with an ocean of brilliance and vibrant energy that will transform the park into an underwater world of colorful luminescence. This new, nighttime summer spectacular will immerse guests in a glowing sea of wonder with bioluminescent-like lighting, a dance club and pathway entertainment, beginning June 17 and running on select dates through September 4.   • LEGOLAND® Water Park Makes a Splash with Surfers’ Cove

    Get ready for water fun at Surfers’ Cove, a competitive water raceway designed for children to compete against each other by jumping on a mat and racing down one of six water slides in this California beach-themed expansion of LEGOLAND Water Park. Surfers’ Cove includes a new “spray ground” with multiple water jets splashing on and off and plenty of new LEGO models to create a fun place to cool off this summer. Surfers’ Cove is included in the cost of admission to LEGOLAND® Water Park.

  • Through September 10 - Knott’s Soak City

    SoCal’s summer has arrived just in time for the opening of the newly expanded Knott’s Soak City Waterpark, open through Labor Day weekend, and located just steps away from Knott’s Berry Farm. The water park debuts seven new slides on two new slide towers, along with Shore Break, The Wedge, and a fully remodeled Longboard’s Grill. Additional seating areas and new spacious cabanas are also available for guest relaxation.
    Shore Break takes single riders on an adrenaline-filled water adventure as thrill-seekers board one of four Aqua Launch chambers to await the chamber’s floor dropping from beneath their feet sending them on a high speed free fall down a 60-foot tall slide and through a series of exhilarating drops and daring loops. Shore Break also offers two dueling tube slides that will have riders zipping through adventurous drops and turns as they soak up the warm summer sun.
    The Wedge takes families - up to six riders - on an open-raft ride as they descend down navigating hair-raising twists, turns and unexpected dips.

  • Star Wars Awakens at the Disneyland Resort

    Exciting Star Wars experiences in Disneyland Park celebrate the Star Wars film saga. Among the elements in this galaxy are Star Wars Launch Bay, an interactive space where guests may encounter Star Wars characters and discover authentic replicas of film props; “Star Wars: Path of the Jedi,” a cinematic overview of the Star Wars saga; a new adventure in Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, and the reimagined attraction, Hyperspace Mountain. Don’t miss “Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple,” with Darth Vader and the Seventh Sister Inquisitor from the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels.

    Voodoo Doughnut Casts a Spell on Universal CityWalk with the Opening of its first ever California location
    Voodoo Doughnut offers a variety of scrumptious flavored doughnuts like Grape Ape, Mango Tango, the Voodoo Bubble and Bacon Maple Bar as well as their iconic Voodoo Doll.     Celebrating the Soul of Art for 51 years, the Sawdust Festival features fine art and craft of more than 200 Laguna Beach artists. Art enthusiasts, collectors, and novice artists have visited since it opened in 1966 for its mix of fine art and craft. Media include hand-blown and fused glass, painting, jewelry, surf art, ceramics, clothing and textiles, wood and metal sculpture, scrimshaw, photography, and much more.     The awe-inspiring stories of prehistoric earth are unfolding at Discovery Cube LA with an immersive exhibition that features dynamic scenes of life-size, lifelike animatronic dinosaurs. The experience brings to life two stirring tales of large-scale excavation sites from opposite sides of the globe and reveals secrets about life on earth, millions of years ago.     Dana Point Fireworks Extravaganza
    The City of Dana Point, The Dana Point Harbor Association and its sponsors present the 2017 July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. One of the largest annual celebrations in the OC, it can be viewed from virtually anywhere in Dana Point Harbor. Two of the most popular locations are Heritage Park and Lantern Bay Park, both located on the cliffs above the Harbor. Dana Point restaurants also offer a spectacular view.     Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa kicks off its 2017 Movie Mondays series with beloved movies spanning five decades.     Celebrating the OC’s rich relationship with agriculture, the 127th Orange County Fair, themed “Farm Fresh Fun,” brings together the animals and crops of Centennial Farm with iconic Fair treats to entice visitors to step outside their daily lives and enjoy a special, and very anticipated, slice of summer.
