Wet & Wonderful: Celebrating Our Precious Water
The start of autumn is the perfect time to plan your water-wise garden, and Descanso Gardens in LaCanada-Flintridge is the perfect spot to learn how. Baja Splash Cultural Festival
9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican Independence Day, the Aquarium of the Pacific will host its 16th annual Baja Splash Cultural Festival, featuring live entertainment, crafts, educational programs, ethnic cuisine, and special activities. The weekend festival celebrates the beauty and diversity of Hispanic cultures through song, dance, art, and cultural displays. Mariachi music, Mexican folkloric and Aztec dance troupes, interactive mural painting, Salvadoran dance, Guatemalan performances, and other special programs are featured. Chula Vista HarborFest
Chula Vista knows how to celebrate summertime right! HarborFest, the summer’s highlight on the waterfront, brings on the fun at this free, family-friendly celebration from 10am – 6pm in Bayside Park, near the Chula Vista Marina. Set against breathtaking ocean views, visitors can leisurely stroll through exotic automobile displays and a vibrant art exhibition. Harborfest welcomes everyone to enjoy live entertainment, water activities, tours of wartime boats, and new this year, the Chula Vista Craft Beer Uprising. Orange County Fair
Celebrating the OC’s rich relationship with agriculture, the 127th Orange County Fair, themed “Farm Fresh Fun,” brings together the animals and crops of Centennial Farm with iconic Fair treats to entice visitors to step outside their daily lives and enjoy a special, and very anticipated, slice of summer.

Go for the blue ribbon – enter your prize tomatoes, photography, woodworking project, floral design, cupcakes or hobby display and earn bragging rights. Enjoy the sound of music from day to night. Watch the antics of adorable baby goats and pigs. Get your thrills in the Action Sports Arena.

The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, D23 Expo, brings together all the worlds of Disney under one roof for three days packed with presentations, pavilions, experiences, concerts, sneak peeks, shopping and more. Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa kicks off its 2017 Movie Mondays series with beloved movies spanning five decades. The showings are free, and for the first time, the Center will provide closed captioning. Festival of the Arts & Pageant of the Masters, Laguna Beach
